  • Made it back to NC

I got home from Ohiostiva about 6:00pm today. 1458 miles for the trip, averaged 40.1 mpg, not too bad for a carbed 4speed Festiva.
After I left Sammy's on Saturday I drove up to Cleveland to take a look at Lake Erie right at sunset, COOL.
The West Virgina Turnpike was a blast to drive! And with the leaves starting to change it was beautiful as well.
Anyway, it was great to meet everyone and having a face to go with the names. I hope everyone else made it home without incident.

        Glad you could make it!

Hope you can make it to Spring Ohiostiva!

Or better yet organize your own, I have a place in VA so I'd certainly consider going if you pulled something together!

If your heading to FF'07, remember the festiva oasis in Bridgeport, OH!
Save you a hotel stay and leave you about 5-6 hours out from Clarkeston, MI!
Might beable to put together a small convoy to FF'07 too!
Packrat427 can attest to the accomodations!
Hopefully, in 8 months I'll have finished un-packing and will actually have deployed all furnishings and kitchen supplies.

              Wackyy,

I can join in on the action with my festiva once I get it fixed up
I take my daily driver to these, it's nothing special except a part or bit here and there. We even had a beater show up at FF'06!
Don't use the "it's not finished" yet excuse, because for most of us it will never be finished!

you need to convoy up here with 5.0zone!

The trip up was 660 miles, that included a 40 mile detour in WV.
My dad is buried in St. Marys, WV. I hadn't been by there since the funeral 8 yrs ago and thought since I was up that way I would go by his grave. But I couldn't remember were it was. I'll have to ask my aunt.

The trip up to Lake Erie wasn't that long, about an hour or so, it just took me a while to find a beach. The second exit I got off was at a marina and there was a cop parked on the street so I asked him where the nearest lake access was at and he directed me back a couple miles.
So that's where the cops are when you need them, parked down by the marina.

Drove by the Cleveland Browns stadium. Man, I think they built that stadium on the water.

Oh yea, and the Festiva tripped 470,000 miles on the trip home. Only 30,000 more to go.

                Wackyy, where are you located?

If I'd have known you wanted to see Cleveland and the lake, you, Packrat, and myself could have taken a tour! I would have been glad to show you around! I live 20 min from the lake!
