  • Stock Steel Wheel 4.00x12 vs 4.50x12

For the first time in my 27 years of owing a Festiva, I just discovered today that there are 2 different stock steel wheel sizes.
I discovered this today while I was taking pictures of the extra steel wheel that I am trying to give away.
Of the 4 that I took pictures of, 2 are 4.00x12 and 2 are 4.50x12.

Does anyone know which year and trim levels came with which?

88-90 LX and L plus got the 4.5" wide wheels. You'll also notice there is a small square tab welded near the valve stem. That's to align the notch in wheel trim ring to the valve stem.

Thanks for that helpful bit of information David. I thought it was my imagination.. that's why the trim rings stuck out more when put them on the steel wheels that came on Trixie (my black 89L).
So that changes my mind .. I think I'll hang on to those 4.50Bx12 wheels.
