What would you say are the TEN most important tools to have if you own a Festiva?

For me (aside from the obvious wrenches and screwdrivers) I would say:

1) Digital Multimeter
2) Compression Tester
3) Fuel Pressure Test Set
4) Impact Socket Set and gun for lug nuts
5) Hog Ring set for upholstery
6) Plastic Welder for repairing trim pieces
7) Stud Gun for dents you can't get to from inside the car
8) INCH POUND torque wrench for setting wheel bearings
9) Radiator Pressure Test Set to find coolant leaks
10) FORDFESTIVA.COM so that you can find information that just isn't out there anymore...


You should also have an impressive sense of humor, since people who drive other things just will not understand you!

1. torque wrench for tires (torquing uneven or too much will warp stock rotors)
2. Bearing packer for rear bearings
3. A tiny floor jack. 100x nicer than the sissor jack it comes with!
4. Wrench for O2 sensor and a spare sensor.
5. Air compresser, impact gun, 3/8 and 1/4 drive air ratchets. Blow gun
6. Torch! And lots of map gas.
7. Wire brush and Anti-sieze for when the bolts make it all the way out.
8. Thread pitch gauge, calipers, tap and die set, drill bits for when they dont.
9. Welder
10. 500 watt work light. Headlamp, magnetic flashlights. So much nicer when you can see!

You can never have too many 10mm sockets, as these always get lost somehow. lol

Also you can never have enought 12mm. I always look for 10s 12s and 14s at the pawn shop.

Those are one and two. Not to distract from the thread, but has anyone ever used a 9mm wrench? I've never had to use one ever. I've used pretty much every other size, even the little 5.5mm.

pretty much same 10 as you'd need for any Japan FWD car but also a chick demagnetizer or stick with which to beat them off.
also 1/2" wide rounded chisel for axle stake nuts.

This is a very cool handy thread, maybe it should be stickied. I had someone give me a hand working on the Festiva this weekend and he had all those tools mentioned in the first 2 posts. Oh man did it make things easier working on the car. My tools suck.

I just hope the thread stays on track.
