The 93 festiva lasted through all the civic problems ive had and even through i tried to stop driving it several times and 'move up' in the world i always went back to it.

Sorry for the slow response just got back from a short vacation in St.Louis. The first generation CRV is one of our all time favorites, my wife loves it. BUT, as I found out the hard way the B20 Honda engine is notorious for burning exhaust valves. I have read the valves should be adjusted as often as every 30k miles or so starting around the 150k mile mark. I had no idea until it was too late. We are at 198k miles now and my wife still drives it around town but #2 is leaking enough to cause rough idle and we don't put it on the highway very much anymore.

I had two that were pretty nice, a red '87 that I drove for about a year and a white '89 SHP one owner car. If you get one, swap to a multi point intake and standalone ecu. They're really great cars other than the factory throttle body efi. Mine ran great, when it was running right :lol: I hope to have another one day.








I actually was able to buy the exact same car that got me interested in them as a kid. A neighbor owned this one when I was 8-10 years old and I always thought it looked like a spaceship on wheels. I got interested in finding a Conquest a few years ago and went back to see if he still had it, an it was parked in his backyard in rough shape. It was cheap so I ended up buying it. As you can see from the "current" list, I didn't have time to do anything with it so I sold it to a friend. Would have made a fun drift missile build.

They look so good! I would like to find a SHP in Fiji blue some day when I can afford one. I was really close to looking at an red '87 several years ago, but decided against it at the last second. I browsed Starquest.com for a while when I was looking for one; learned a bit about their issues and quirks. Seems like a pretty good forum.
