Hey guys, just thought I would share a few pictures of the Isetta microcar that I did bodywork and paint on. The guy doing the mechanical restoration came by the house with the rolling frame with engine and the two of us lifted the body and set it on the frame. My friend Paula was there to help guide it down in the correct position. This particular Isetta was built by BMW and has a 300 cc engine with a 4 speed transmission. I believe it is a 1958 model. It now needs final assembly which will be lights, glass and interior. It goes back to the owner in Scottsdale, AZ as soon as it is finished. There is also a picture of a '66 Corvair which I replaced the right side quarter panel on. It has been sitting for 20 years, wrecked with the engine out. A friend/customer met a lady who offered him a '65 Mecedes 250 SL if he could get the Corvair back on the road. Because of the sentimental value of the Corvair he is getting the better end of the deal. This is the kind of work I do when not wrenching on the Festivas. With the Isetta gone and the Corvair soon to be I hope to get on with the B6T swap that has been put on the back burner.
