Well since it is FI. that is a good thing ,no dirty carb to worry about .
The body looks good from what I can see .
Oil leaks at the engine area ??
Exhaust could be a easy fix , maybe just a heat shield that is rusted and came loose .

no leaks at all that i can see. going to get a better look at it this week when we can get it up on a hoist.

            just ordered:

            plugs
            wires
            cap/rotor/dist.
            air filter
            fuel filter
            oil filter/oil
            front and rear brakes
            KYB GR2's

should ride well after all that.

no swaps i don't think. lol

if anything i would be interested in swapping to 5spd. i hate auto! lol and from what i was reading the 5spd gets way better gas mileage.

i have a feeling there will be a photoshoot tonight. pics will be posted asap.

Welcome to the board. Nice looking ride you have there. Both of them.
The exhaust rattle is probably a heat shield.
I had one that took me a long time to track down, because it would only rattle at the most inopportune times.
It was right behind the cat, I put a large hose clamp around the heat shield and that solved my problem.

thanks for the comments guys! Jetta is nice, lots of power (dynoed at 220WHP and 254WTQ), i will miss it.

i took the festiva out for a cruise last night but it was raining so i couldn't do a proper photoshoot of any kind.

all my parts came in today so the tune up and brakes are going on this week. other then that just shocks when i find them and fix the exhaust rattle and i am good..

also when i was driving it last night when i take left turns the back right feels almost like it gives out and gets REAL sketchy. i am thinking it might be an axles bushing? is this common?? i also noticed my wheels look way chambered like this....... /----/

                              any help would be great.
