What weight oil?

You guys up north, What weight motor oil do you use in the winter?

Temputure here averages 30 degrees at night.

When i know temps will stay at 5f or lower i use 5w20. Thats usually only 2 oil changes in the winter. Rest of the year is 5w30.
When its cold oil the festiva oil doesnt warm up even when the coolant does. It wasnt that cold out when i took this photo, 5f or so actually i think. This was 25 miles into my drive to work, hottest it got was 115f on the highway, 130f in stop and go in town. 5w20 at this temp is thicker than 5w30 at normal temps.
(Coolant temp sensor for this gauge is after the thermostat, thats why it reads cold)
But above 10f or so i would be taking the 5w20 out.
