  • Looking to "Rally" the Festiva

    Hey everyone!

Looking to Rally my Festiva this coming month!

Looking for some good fog lamps, a rack on the top, and some killer looking mud flaps.

Anyone have any experience with some of these that have a good price?

    Thanks guys!

There is a post on here from the Veoligist about a good Roof Rack that you can get on Amazon. I would also check Amazon for the Fog Lights or some LED Pod lights and they will also have all the relays and switches you need to wire them. The Festiva Store sells Mud Flaps but the are just normal ones.

You don't want fog lights for rally racing. Fog lights are to be mounted as low as possible and only used for only for thick fog, under about 30 mph, and just so you can see the center/outer lines to keep within your lane. They're useless for anything else due to their beam pattern and mounting location. Also, shopping by price in a car that will be raced isn't the best idea... shop by what works.

Check out the automotive section at candlepowerforums.com for suggestions on what lights you'll want to buy, and what lights to stay away from. 95% of the lighting products on the market for automotive use are garbage and not worth the cardboard box they're shipped in. Check out CPF to avoid making mistakes with your lighting setup.

One of the best racks for the money that fits the Festiva is the Sportrack SR1003. It's about $150 on Amazon.

I would definitely follow Theastronauts advice for the lighting.

Large, universal rubber mudflaps for Trucks can be cut down and self-tapped into the Festiva wheel wells to keep mud and rocks at bay.

I like the Festiva Store mudflaps. Made specifically for Festivas, so they look right. Come with stainless fasteners too.

I'm guessing this is for a road checkpoint style rally?

Did you enter into a rally or you wanted to "Rally" it aesthetically?
