  • A day at the wreckers.

Since I'm off work for a few months (had a back surgery) I've been killing time any way I can. Yesterday, I went to my local Pick N' Pull to have a look around at the almost 2000 cars they have in the yard, concentrating on the Fords and imports.

The weird thing was the lack of Festivas. There are usually at least 10 kicking around in there, but there were only 3 yesterday. Weird.

Here's what I did find, however...

    B8s, more than I thought I'd find.
BPs, not as many as I hoped I would.
B6s, yup, there in droves. Lots of late 80's, early 90's 323s.
    B6D, yup, only one though.

Nothing unusual in the yard this week. Too bad.

i went to the u-pull-it yard last month to try and find some new aspire spindles and as i walked through the import portion of the yard i swear i found at least 8-9 BP protege's and not a single escort gt lol...

didnt find any b6 or b8's

also only found 2 aspires, and no festys...
1992 Festiva... BP-T, Escort G5MR, no crossmember, aspire brakes, Megasquirt, Toyota COP's, coilovers and 6 puck SPEC clutch!

T3/T4 Turbo Power! G5MR and BP since '04!

I was quite surprised by the lack of Aspires this time. There are usually a bunch of them in there, but I guess they're getting thin on the road now.

I'd better grab the goods before they're all gone. I haven't even bought the Festiva I'm going to modify yet. I just seem to work on everyone else's cars.
