  • [AUS] Found 2 clean low mileage Festiva's for sale on Facebook

For 95% of you this is worthless information but today I found 2 very clean examples of Festiva's here in Australia. I can't remember the last time I saw another Festiva here cleaner than mine and today I found 2 in very impressive maintained condition. Both are autos (unfortunately, but if I had the lazy one I'd still buy 1).

    White 5 door, 46000km (28500 miles!)
    Dark grey 5 door, 133000km (82000 miles)

From one Festiva owner to another, I thought a few people might enjoy looking at these fine cars. Note: our cars cost a lot more here but both would be very $ negotiable.
    200,000KM milestone!

They don't always cost more down here. Here's 2 festivas (one aspire and one festiva) for $656. Both are 5 speeds

And a festiva ute for $700

Ha! Didn't think anyone had made a Festiva Ute in Australia. Just learned something new. I wish more of us aussies were on these forums.

The dark grey one for $1200 above, I reckon you could knock $500 off which makes it a steal in my eyes. The white one asking $2500, he already knocked $500 when I said hello. I'm not in the market but if I were I'd be trying for closer to $1200-1400 I guess. If it were manual I'd be all over it. 46,000km on it, it's still new.

Hey Reddragon, do you know if the 1999 BJ Mazda 323 Protege has the BP 1.8L engine? Found one cheap, it's a 1840cc motor (BP is 1839cc) so it might be the same thing. The Mazda B series wiki only covers the previous model (95-98) but it doesn't cover all cars so it may also have it.

It should be, as I don't think there is a 1.8 z motor. Just make sure it isn't the SOHC 1.8

Yeah good point, from what I can tell it's in the 1995-1998 Mazda Protege ES so it could also be in the 1999. Further investigation required.I can also grab a cheap Mazda 121 DB1052 (1.5L) from someone who doesn't realise it's worth much more than the standard 1.3L. Not as exciting as a 1.8 BP but would be a much easier swap. I think they used the B5-ME engine (16V-SOHC, 74kW / 99hp), nice upgrade from stock B3 carb 43kW (57hp).

Actually I think I got the power output wrong for the BP-ME in the 121. It's most likely only 65kw (87hp) - 51% increase from B3 carb, not to mention torque improvement. I'm thinking I might snap it up. Physically identical sizing to the B3.

And just saw your link, $656 for BOTH the cars, nice! I thought you meant each at first.
