Hello everyone I'm posting this as in distress, I am working on a friend's 1990 ford festival stick shift. It has spark it turns over and to my knowledge it's getting gas. But it does not want to start. Shot some starter fluid in and there a small burps. Could injectors not be working if so how can I test? His uncle said something about an injector controller but I cant find it and how to test it?....... I'm seriously stumped. It's all stock.

Welcome to the forum!
Timing belt slipped a tooth or two maybe? If it has spark and air, and won't start on starting fluid, I'm thinking the only other options are either ignition timing or valve timing.
What was it doing just before it stopped running?90 Festy (Larry)--B6M (Matt D. modified B6 head), header, 5-speed, Capri XR2 front brakes, many other little mods

Start off by checking for fuel by pulling the Fuel line off of the fuel rail and put it in a bottle and try to start the car for a second to make sure you are getting fuel. If there isn't fuel coming out then ground out the diagnostic fuel pump pin located near the Master Cylinder while the key is turned to the run position to see if you get fuel then.
If there is fuel, I would do a compression test. If you have less than 150PSI then you probably slipped the timing belt like stated above.

I agree. Check that the spark plugs are wired in order first. If so, my first hunch would be a timing belt jump.http://www.cardomain.com/id/hawkdoc60
