  • Drivers side door won't unlock, mechanism inside door all broken

    Hi guys

I know there are old threads on this subject but recently I get Server 500 errors anytime I try to click on a searched thread, strangely I can still post new threads or open new threads.

Back in 2009 this first happened, I did some dodgy repair work with zip ties but now that's broken, its all a mess in there and I don't think I can fix it.

Honestly if I had factory paint I'd just get another door matching that colour but it's not. Any ideas? Right now I'm climbing through the passenger side or in and out the window like an episode of The Dukes of Hazzard. I'm 6'2 tall and that really sucks in these tiny cars.

    Who would fix these?

    Thanks in advance.

Try finding the part on fourgreen.com .They ship worldwide from Seoul.

Search for Kia Pride lock assembly.

There are a bunch of part numbers.

I have no idea which one is for the two door or the four door.
    Good luck.

        Hey bravekozak,

Just a thought, do I need this factory assembly working in order to go central locking? If not, maybe I just go down that route instead. Hmmm I probably still need everything in good order first though...

Typed "front door lock" in the search box. Here's one example from that search which should help

Do you have public access computers at the public library?

A trip to the junk yard might also work.

You mention zip ties. Sounds lie all you might need is a broken plastic clip.
