I'm getting ready to do an engine swap and clutch replacement on the 91GL, and I'm running into a pickle. I live in the city (Chicago, specifically), and unless you own a garage of your own, you are super limited in what you can do with your car in terms of repairs. Smaller projects you can do with street parking, but for larger scale stuff?
Does anyone have tips on finding garages or workspaces that would be suitable for something involved like an engine swap? I'm currently looking into "rent a space in our garage to park your car" options, but as soon as I mention that I want to work on the car too, they either balk, or triple the asking price.
