  • Bought my sixth festiva today

I found a 91 L with air about 8 miles from home today. It had been sitting there for awhile. Paid $150 for it. Its all there and the owner says it runs. I have to use this one as a parts car Ive got too many other festivas to be without parts. Its a silver one, I post some pics when I get it home tomorrow.

You should be able to sell parts that you don't use and make a profit!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. But sure as I sell a part it would be the part I needed. I think I'm going to gently strip the car and shelf the parts. Going to have to do it quickly cause I'm out of storage space unless I park it outside away from the convenience of the shop and tools. I hate to strip a festiva. I'm for saving them if you can. But gotta draw the line somewhere.

Every car I have owned has had a turbo in it, until I bought this latest festiva.. I plan to fix that though.

My wife asked the same question. I told her, but now, I wont have to buy all those parts plus shipping. It will save us money  Four good festivas is my limit. Everybody else will have to save all the rest.

Ian asked, "ok sorry... but is there REALLY a need for 6 festivas?"

The question would be far more appropriate if you had asked about 60 Festivas. Asking to justify a mere 6 is ludicrous!!

If I had the land for it, 60 Festivas in various states of repair would be about right, IMO.

And that number doesn't include the 30 or so Aspires and 20 or so other Mazdas, etc. for brake swaps, engines, etc.

And maybe a few other cars just for decorative purposes...
