  • temp gauge normal????

    Hey guys
just put a engine in the festiva
cause the other one kept breaking seals and leaking all over

never had time to drive mor ethen 20 minutes the other engine.

whats the normal temperature gauge should be at?

driving it runs 1/2 and stop lights and drivetrue it ran a little over half

Fan works cause it came on when I let it idle 20-25 minutes to check the whole engine for leaks.

    Any ways let me know

    thanks

that sounds about right to me, when it's warmer out the summer mine will run normal a bit over half, ususally where it starts to cover the heat simbol on the gage

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Mine sits about 3/4 of the way over on hot! Been there as long as I have owned the car and doesn't overheat!

Mine always ran between half-way and two-thirds.

this time of the year mine is always a lil < 1/2... in the summer it goes about right at 1/2, hardly ever above.

This is where mine is all the time when driving , on a hot day it might creep just a hair past till the fan brings it down .

That is what John (pu241) and I was wondering , it is a single row rad , but it has a extra switch in the bottom of the rad ,with 2 wires that have been cut and go nowhere .

I have good heat , Or I thought I did , maybe I have been cheating myself in the winter on heat .

oh yeah, big difference from the mtx and atx radiators..

With the B3, stock mtx radiator, fully warmed up, the needle is just below half during the summer here in Texas..

With the stock ATX radiator the needle barely makes it to 1/4..

Put in a full width Honda Accord Radiator, two row.

                              Don't need the Fan anymore
