Carpet

I have an 88 lx and I removed the carpet to insulate the car better for sound and cold. My carpet only had the carpet and a small bit of padding in some areas. I was pulling off parts from 2 93's this past weekend and noticed the carpets were CRAZY thick on both. They both had the carpet, a rubber membrane, and two layers (about 1-1/2" thick) of padding underneath. Was this an enhancement of later Festiva models?

Also, these 93's are awesome. Both have "spoilers" and white aluminum rims. One only had 71k on it. Thinking about taking it's entire interior to mine.

You found two sport model festivas. Grab one of the spoilers, with all the hardware, for me.

As for the carpets, I haven't heard of their being changes in the carpet, but they may have made the change when they made other revisions in 1990, ie seatbelts, grill, taillight, dash, power mirrors, color of the interior writing

The sports had a differant interior, if you don't use it would you pull it and sell it to me? (if its nice)

Only one is nice and It's for me. The other didn't take the tumble too well and the interior pretty trashed.

Do you know an easy way to get them off without messing them up too bad? They're both in really good condition.

Gently pry the plugs on the side out (theres 4), then there are philips head screws underneth with plastic inserts in the hatch!
