  • I gave festdiva a new rearend. : )

Festdiva wore a rear tire out after 5000 miles. Close inspection revealed a bent rear torsion beam. I fixed her up this week. New beam, struts, strut boots, brakes, bearings, brake fluid, tire. Plus freed ebrake and adjusted rear hatch lack and got it to stop rattling. Sweet ! It sure is rewarding fixing a festy.

It was like that when I got it (six months ago) apparently. Been restoring it and hadn't really drove it much. I think by the looks of it someone must have slid into a curb sideways as the beam was bent under. It wasn't the wife this time. And yes, the parts cars it paying off in silver dollars. I put the bent beam back in the parts car so now its mobile.
