was on my way home from school for thanksgiving break and was about 4 and a half hours in to my 5 hours trip and i hit rush hour coming into Connecticut (pretty normal stop and go). So i am sitting for about 15 minutes in stop and go and i look down and my water temp gauge is through the roof (top line but not pegged out). i instantly pull over and open the hood. Just as im pulling over water begins to spray out the over flow and im think ... wtf happened. Call up my dad (i am only about 15 minutes away from home). He thinks instantly its the water pump and i agree because i didnt blow the head gasket and all hoses where intact. i let her cool down and push her to the nearest exit off the high way (about 500 feet... up hill ugh). i push her down the exit and drive very easily to the gas station (temp never got above 3/4 mark).
I pull in and im thinkin i am going to wait for traffic to get through then limp it home and just buy 5 gallons of water. so i fill up my engine with some fine h20 and i just take a look around and i notice ... hey my radiator fan temp sensor isnt plugged in.... :x
I plug it and and just bleed the system real quick in the parking lot and get back on the high way and the temp never got above the 1/8th mark on the temp gauge.
I guess since i am putting the new turbo and what not in this weekend i mine as well grab a new water pump and be done with it  .
