Is it more than carbureator work? I have a book from the late 70's early 80's tells you to bore the jets(?) larger Is it more thatn that for carburated cars?

Where to start? Well, the most obvious is the jetting on the carb. Generally speaking, for a fuel like E85, you'd have to jet up about 15%. Not too bad. The other, and more difficult problem is the existing components in your fuel system. Ethanol will eat rubber fuel lines, and gaskets and seals designed to work with gasoline.

So the biggest hurdle to overcome is replacing all fuel lines and fittings with alcohol tolerant materials. In a carbed car, this isn't so difficult.

There are probably some adjustments to the timing required as well.
