First off this is just my opinion, but when people do these kinds of things to a car, surely it's because they think the car is worthless so no matter what they do, who cares it's a (insert car here). I can't even fathom that anyone would do it thinking it looks cool or good..

That's all we can throw out here - opinions. I'm sure you will be in the majority on that view. As the creator of that grille I can tell you I certainly do not consider festivas worthless. They have paid me over and over again. They enabled me to travel all over the east half of the continent. I think it looks fun and creative. That's my personality. I think the best looking festiva here is that blue one with the custom fabbed door panels. I can't remember where or who it belongs to though. Also the one with the splash front air dam and round headlight treatment is cool. Your black one looks sweet too. I do not like the stock 90 - 93 grille though.

See Warlocke that exactly what I'm saying.. Why do Festivas or Aspires especially need that?? I don't think that at all.. I like the way a stock Festiva looks.. I don't like Aspires as much as Festivas, but no... They don't NEED that at all.. And yes, I confess guys, I have a Festiva chip on my shoulder the size of Texas.. Yes I get bent when people make fun at my Festivas expense... That why engine/tranny swaps that triple the hp in a Festiva creates it's own revenge..

well i do see where ur commin from its hard for me to type what i want to say lol

i guess i get that from elementry and jr. high school incidents, i was the fat kid and the one that always was picked on cause i wore clothes from walmart and walmart shoes (which are teh best ive had i have bought more expensive shoes and they didnt last as long as the cheapies lol)

but i guess i am just trying to make a name for my self trying to prove im not the stupid kid or the quiet kid.

i get alot of crap talking on my gremlin when i drove it, i simply said its paid for and mine and I can do ALL the work MYSELF lol, but like i said tho i guess its just pounded into me that im no good and im trying to prove them all wrong, cause i was in bd (sped) classes because i couldnt control my temper since 4th grade, im glad i was put in it, ive met some great friends that were in it, and i can now take alot of stuff before i lose it, but i just bottle it up and it all build up and then at once it blows, now that im out of school tho i dont deal with that crap any more, or atleast not nearly as bad.

sorry for hte long post lol

You know what, though? Damn them. I was the kid in school who made fun of other folks. But what was my opinion really worth? Nothing, and that was that. I make fun of people's cars all the time, but that doesn't mean that I'm right (besides, look at me ... I drive a PT Cruiser and am considering getting a Festiva).

Don't let others' opinions matter so much. They're just being them. You're an asshole now and then ... all of us are, and you know it. I'd hope the folks we talk smack to don't blow a gasket about it.

                      I dig.

Mainly, I just wanted folks to not take X's statement as a personal insult. I know it wasn't meant that way. I know I'm new to the board and so I don't have a lot of value per opinion, but I like to keep folks who are on the same side on the same side.

I noted the FMS vs Hammer rift, and I think that sucks. Just don't like the idea of seeing more rifts like that. I'd rather kill rifts if I can before they can't be fiberglassed back together.

                      Heh.

                      I'm going to bed.

That's what I'm saying Venomz. I certainly won't sling a rod over it. I know that driving a festiva makes me a target. I also know my teeth grille made me a target. What matters to me is how I feel about me, my festivas, and my style. When you are secure you can pull off lot's of unique things.

xpnsyd, which is it? Stock or modded? Your rides are cool and also visually modded, but you said you like the look of a stock festiva. I don't get bent when people make fun of festivas. I just tell them the multitude of reasons why festivas rule. I have convinced many of the festiva's greatness. Look at the bright side. Because public opinion is so low, so are the prices!! 8^)

Festivas with original festiva equipment are the truest tribute. And the base from which all other are created.

                          Just a theory

Whoa peoples.. I'm not mad at anyone.. I don't think anything less of anyone. I would be the first one to try to stop a rift between people here on the board if I thought that there was one.. If I made anyone feel bad.. apologies.. Have comfort in the fact that this is no where near the first time I've brought this up.. Anyone remember the 2x4 stud wing and cardboard body kit... This is nothing compared to that one..

Wow! Looks like everything is settling down now. I'll add my 2 cents. When I got my Festiva, I got it for one reason - to save gas. After driving for a while, I had the pleasure of running into other who owned Festivas. I can personally state that everybody has been genuinely nice people and basically- well - genuine. They are, who they are, and they don't have anything to prove to anybody (that's the best way I can desribe them). I'm amazed whenever I go on this sight at all the cool things these cars can do and recently when my tranny started to fail, the thought of replacing my festiva crossed my mind for about a New York second and then was gone. hy? Because there is no better car out there to buy to replace it. They are great little unique cars and I think the people who drive them are also very unique. So, with all that said. Everybody just enjoy your Festivas for as long as the good Lord blesses you with them. Amen

I dont mind anyone enjoying their festiva however they want. What "slings my rod" is the abuse

Just one example. There are lot of video and pics of people trashing festivas. That makes me mad. Esp when I looking for parts or trying to repair one.
