  • Road Trip?

    I hate flying, soo i was thinkin id try n drive myself to michigan from
    so-cal, in my festiva. mostly stock 91 fi 5 spd. put a header back exhaust on it, some audio, tune up, has 225000 miles and rising on it, but im thinking of throwing a b6 sohc in it. owned it 2 months now an ive already taken two road trips, whats one more? jes ive never gone more n 1500 miles. an that was in a truck. oh, its getting an aspire brake upgrade. have the parts jes need the time
    is not sposed ta do that...

      i live near death valley, and my daily commute takes me over a 5000 foot pass, which my festy doesnt like at all, hence the pining for a 1.6, and if you go up over 3000 feet chains are required, the police will turn you around if you dont have em, but im used to driving in snow with the usual tires, my first festiva had trailer tires on it when i purchased it, drove it like that all winter, i got some oddball nankang m+s tires on my current car, snow is fun, getting a squirrely festiva thru the snow is hilarious

        I'll say from this weeks experience that festy's make great road trippers 1100 miles in 22hrs
