  • Transmission from Wellington, New Zealand

Hi all on this Boxing Day,

Well at least it is here on the other side of the International Date Line!

So far no Festiva parts, but did get some pics of some foreign variants, as well as some other cool small cars that we don't get there in the USA.

It's hard to get net time as the ship uses a satellite link which is slow, unreliable and charges a small fortune for access, 250 minutes for $100 US, or can go pay as you go for $0.75 per minute.
Transmitting from an Internet cafe for a reasonable $5 NZ per hour!

Anyway not much available on Boxing Day, pretty much everything closed of interest!
    Hoping Melbourne works out better.
Need to hit a KIA dealer and see what they can do for me!
Anyone have an idea of what models used the 1.3L DOHC?

The Festiva GTX used the 1.3 DOHC. I am not sure where it was available besides Japan. There was a board member "The greatest ben" from Austrailia that had one. he has not been on in a long time.

          Hey, thanks guy's!
Was hoping JDM wasn't my only choice!
The Japanese are even worst about supporting older cars than the US OEM's!
