  • Wheel swaps

My daily festiva activity was to do some wheel swapping for better or worst. Ive got a couple of sets of factory alloys but I never like them on a white festiva. The shiny chrome wheels look nice but the factory alloys seem to dull the car up. The alloys look better on colored festivas to me so I grabbed a set I had, got two new tires on the front and put the alloys on RedFord.
    Before:

    After:

I liked the trim ring center cap look also and Ive got several of those rare 12 inch rims  now.

So I was think about putting the trim rings and center caps on freshtiva which is also white with alloy on it . to go from this

    to something like this:

Not sure if I'm helping or hurting just bored and messing around. I could just leave the alloys on freshtiva. Any suggestion. Im planning on putting the silver hockey stripe on freshtiva so the alloys might help accent it. ?

Hey GenevaDirt Thanks for the opinion I had that thought, but I thought I might put one of the stripe sets on festdiva( red or silver not sure ) and the other on freshtiva and maybe black pin stripe RedFord. My toss up really is which white car to put the siver stripe on and which to put the red stripe on.

Are you saying to go with the black steelies the trim rings and center caps with the red stripe set ?

Not sure if I would put the silver stripe on the white car....but if I did I would put the alloys on it and the black steelies on the red stripe and white car. Still not sure how the silver stripe will look on the white car though.....hmmmmmmmm.

How bought silver on redford and then the black pin stripe on the white, coming from front and curving around rear window......like an outline of the factory hocky stripe...then in the open space where festiva is written....the word festiva in black pin stripe ( in the festiva script )...with the black steelies and trims?

I always liked black steel wheels with chrome beauty rings and a chrome center cap. I like a black factory stripe like the one in my sig drawing.

GenevaDirt: Yeah I think a black hockey stripe would look better on a white car. But I agree if you put a silver stripe on white car you would have to have the silver alloys on the same car. The stripe and the alloy would compliment each other. And the red stripe should go on the white car with the black steelies, trim rings and center caps. I think the silver stripe would look best on RedFord for sure but although redford is the lowest mileage car I have its still not in line for a stripe kit since its my DD. So I thinking the white L (freshtiva) will get the red stripe and the black steelies, trim rings and center cap. The festiva L decal it already red and I think a little 1/4 pin stripe on the recess across the front and back black bumpers would set it off. That would leave the silver stripe kit for the white GL (festdiva) so I could put the alloys back on it. I just took them off because I liked the white hubcaps on it better. It stands out with all while bumpers, trim, wheels etc. So I don't know, anyone want to trade silver or red stripe kits for black ones? Thank for all the suggestions. Ill experiment until I cant decide and then just do something probably. I did buy a new set of 12" hubcaps today so Ill see how they work into the equation. I think Ill have to paint them White,

These are the 12 " hubcaps I got, not to bad for $40.00 Except they are silver.
