  • Wiper spring

I notice on some of my festivas when heading at high speed into a head wind the wiper floats off the wind sheild. My GL has a different tensioner on it or an extra spring. Just wonder if any one else has seen these,

Yup, you should be able to find them in stores that sell auto parts and accessories. If there's a section that sells the "HELP!" line of products, it will be there.

I've never seen them either. I had my wipers float a time or 2, but I was doing over 100m.p.h.

I would top out any one of my festivas tomorrow w/o a doubt.(100MPH +) Confident. :!: But the float usually happens doing75/ 80mph with a strong head wind like when a storm line is coming through. They quit working when you need them worst. Sometimes going around a semi they will fail also. Ive kept Rain X on them always because of this. I think the spring helps.

i bought a set of PIAA wiper blades (which are just like rain x ones) that come with a little packet of treatment stuff and everyting for the windshield. normally i think they are 20$ a piece wipers, i think i paid 14$ for the pair with my work discount (i work at a truck performance parts store) they work quite well and havent floated on me yet... i may look into these springs though just as backup...

                      Good find!

I found them last night under the brand name "Sure Wipe." Sounds like a new line of toilet paper.

Geez guys, just do a Google search for "Sure Wipe" and the first hit that you get is the company website, with "where to buy" information.
