car not starting due to cold?

yo..

it is winter time and it got -10 degrees out last night.

this morning i goto start up my car and it turns on but 30 second later it shuts off just like that. i goto start it up again and it just cranks but dont kick on.

could this be becasue its to cold out or could it be something else?

Hit the gas in your car, pump it, and then turn on the ignition again.(Repeat again if the engine still won't start)

After the engine starts, pump the gas again until the engine is strong enough and won't turn off.

That's why I do with my festiva when the engine is too cold and the engine won't start.

thanks for the reply..... i tryed that but it still didnt start...i put some gas line anti freez in it so hopefuly that will help...ill let it sit and then go try your method again...
