  • My daily good festiva deed

Neither of the windows on Redford were working very good. I was afraid to roll them down for fear of busting the window crank. Also the dome light switches in the door jams weren't turning the dome light on when the doors were opened. Not glamorous but nice to get that stuff fixed. Just needed to clean the grounds on the dome light switches and lube the tracks and slider bar on the windows. Also good time to lube all the latches, handles, lock cylinders etc. Everything works great. No more pulling up to the drive through window and having to open my door to pay for or pick up my order. Or open the door to talk to a friend that pulls up beside you. Amazing what a little lube in the right places does.

I need to lube my auto seatbelts , I did early last summer .

It was so cold here this morning , I thought my seatbelt was going to stop for good .
It kept stopping 1/2 way and 1/4 way to complete cycle , I just know it will lay down on me before the weekend , but I do have a spare

It is supposed to warm up a little by the end of the week too , and 5" of fresh snow Tue. day (tomorrow)

Oh yeah, lubed the seat belt tracks and the seat tracks and levers etc also. Did discover the 1990 L has the wiring in the door for the power mirrors . Weird since there was no rear wiper or cargo light latch wiring. Tomorrow I might work on the combo switch on the steering column, or take a trip to town to find the extra strength wiper springs. Also know a guy I haven't seen in a while who is now in the upholstery business. Might stop in and see what some custom embossed seat covers might cost for some festivas. I cant find any at retailers that fit.
