  • hello i'm new!

    Hey,
I'm Brett from Ames Iowa. I was given a 1988 or 1989 (I have to pick it up on the weekend) festiva. Its an auto which makes me upset but I can live with it. It has 88ish thousand miles on it and its in wonderful shape! I have owned mustangs (fastest was a 347 stroker with nitrous) and I currently drive a escort...... i'm a huge ford man. Just thoguht i'd say hello and hopefully this forum is active

Heya. This forum is plenty active, no worries there.

I recently picked up a Festy as well, and also come from a fox body background. In my case it's an 84 LTD LX. I built the 5.0 and the rest of the drivetrain myself, and it's damned fast, but I'm now looking to go around corners as well as fast in a straight line.

Best of luck with your new car. I'm pretty sure you're going to have a lot of fun with it.

Welcome to the board, and yes it is an active, living and growing forum for festiva fans and owners. I have two myself, and some here have 5 or more. You won't regret owning the festy, even if it is an auto, these are fun little cars with a lot of potential. Check out the engine swap sections if you're interested in getting a little performance out of your new car!
        No festiva for me ATM...

Welcome. If the auto car is an 88 it's carbed. If it's an 89 it's efi. With only 88,ish miles on it you are in for a long long loooong festiva relationship.
