  • Door trim upgrade

I bought some upper door trim pieces from carbonvmax about 6 months ago. Figuring they would be difficult to install I kept putting it off until today. It went real smooth and turned out great to my surprise. They are a little dirty and need a good scrubbing but..... I like

Nice removal job by the way carbonvmax !!

Awesome job Fresh!!!! Did you just glue it down?
Brian, I just started at a corner and was careful as I worked it. I don't think I used any tools. There is a foam backing tape holding it down. The tape didn't stay together, but the trim never tore.

^ Thanks man, On the top I used just a little glue where the trim fits under the rubber window seal and then put the rubber seal back on. I think the seal itself which snaps onto the door would have held it in place my its self. Then on the bottom I just use a small bead of glue to hold it in place while I snapped the big inner door trim panel over the top of it. Worked fine, no wrinkles or lumps, looks great. A person could add a spot of glue on the end of the trim pieces but I don't think its needed. I had to alter the little trim pieces around the locks so they would snap in place, the fabric added just enough thickness to make a slight alteration necessary.

What exactly are the other parts your ging to install there? Looks like a dome light and hood latch?

That is a rear cargo light and a rear hatch latch that make the light work when you open the rear hatch.

I had that in my first GL and when I went to upgrade the panels, it made more hassle than they were worth...

On my last 2 Tivas, I had the metal piece sprayed the same as the outside and shaved the lock piece out (since the locks weren't there anyways).

                      Good install!

Thanks on the door panels. I really did put the latch and lamp I got from you on that weekend. This is a different latch switch and light. Yours went in freshtiva and this one is going in festdiva. My red cars got the poor man cargo switch/lamp. I going to go search for that thread right now. Ill show you
