Festiva downpipe pipe size.

Ok first off incase this gets moved, I did not know where to post this one. Most of us with festiva's have experienced the down pipe cracking off right before the cat. I have an 89 and was just needing to know what the size of the pipe used to make the down pipe is, so that I might weld mine back together again. My car is stuck about 30 min from here and as soon as it fires all the police in the area will be jumping on it and discovering I am trying to drive it back to my house on expired tags. Thanks!!

Dont take my word for it cause Im not sure we are talking about the same thing. Where my down pipe goes into the front of the cat the pipe diameter is 1 3/4 OD
