any engine cleaner spray will work wonders if you put some effort into it and scrub everything. Even dishwasher soap and water will clean an engine up decently.

I will let you know , I just spilled a full cup of Hot chocolate , between the seats Friday morning on the way to work , I could not find the cup , it was dark , then I looked down and it was upside down , on top of the e-brake handle.

Thanks to the McDonalds no leak lid , the cup was empty when I picked it up ??

                      well forgot to add this,

yesterday i took the resolve, let it sit a min, then scrubbed it in, then sprayed with water real good, then took the shop vac to it, smells better inside, and the carpet feels softer and looks a heck of a lot better, if i did another cpl of scrubbing (ran out of resolve) would of looked great, some stains still there but not as many, was gonna take pics but forgot lol.

Using Resolve to remove stains is a good idea, but...

It leaves a soapy residue if it's not totally rinsed out.

I used to clean carpets and upholstery (for 9 years) and one thing I dreaded to hear was that the customer used Resolve (or one of those other stain zapper solutions). The story was the same every time. "I used resolve and the stain disappeared, but it seems to have come back".

What has happened to these people is that they soaked the stain and then failed to get all of the solution out of their carpet (if they even tried). Every time they walked over that spot, the resolve would clean the bottom of their shoes. The same for upholstery. Put it on a seat and it will clean your butt for you each time you sit. If that stuff gets into the stuffing or carpet pad, it will be there forever, leaking out whenever pressure is applied and continue to clean whatever it touches. The only good part of this is that stains are easy to remove.

These solutions are an absolute bitch to get out of carpets and upholstery. If you have ever used resolve on your carpet, try this. Take a spray bottle of water and a scrub brush, wet the resolve treated spot and start scrubbing. If you failed to remove all of the solution then the scrubbing will create mounds of thick suds. Unless you use some sort of anti-foaming agent, you will be there all day rinsing that stuff out.

A much better solution is the foam cleaners. All the manufacturers make a foam version of their products and it works just as well, but it dries to a powder and can be vacuumed out.

If you have already used one of these solutions, the next time you clean, try the "spray and scrub" trick. If you get any foam, rinse the area thoroughly with warm water and extract it with a good wet-dry vac. You may have to do this multiple times and the suds will clog your equipment. Don't use any soap on these areas.

A warning. Never soak any seat with metal springs. Two bad things can happen. One: The springs can rust and the rust will stain the hell out of your fabric and Two: The corrosion might lead to spring or frame breakage.

One thing to remember when cleaning your carpet or upholstery is that a little soap goes a long way. Using too much may result in a hard to "Resolve" problem.
