  • MORE!!! Pics of the donor car. MORE!!!

I drove the donor car into town tonight. It took awhile, seeing as 3rd gear in the tranny doesn't exist anymore. Having driven the car, I still think it's a shame to tear it apart for this project, but I really want a faster Festiva, and this is how it's going to happen.

Here's a link to some pics I snapped before the batteries died in the camera.

I'll be pulling everything I possibly can out of the car (lights, switches, etc) on Wednesday night, and on Saturday the engine comes out. The wheels will also make it onto the Festiva.

Yeah I was going to say those seats look comfy.

Steering wheel & chrome door handles should fit too.

I know I'll be yanking the chrome bits for myself.

The seats may fit a Festy, but the door panels won't.

If I can use it, the wiper switch will go in the Festiva. If not, I've got a buyer lined up. The clock and cigarette lighter are already spoken for as well.

If anyone wants something, let me know. Just remember, the car needs to be a roller when it gets picked up on Saturday.

The cluster won't really fit, but I can scavenge stuff out of it for my big box o' parts.

Are you going to use the wheels? If not I'd be interested in those.

Look under DJ's article on seat installation. He did a write up on the GTX seats and these will have the same mountings.

Probably going to use the wheels. I need to get those teeny 12s off my car, and soon.

I have two sets of those wheels. One with Falken's and the other with Nokian Hakkapeliitta RSi's for winter. One thing that bugs me though is that the nice smooth Mazda center cap won't work on the back wheels, you have to use the stock Festiva ones. :? You can see what I mean on my Cardomain page ( http://tinyurl.com/yqkkh4 ).
