      Billthekat,

I'm trying to do the same thing!
Little utility trailer, max load like 750 lbs.
Probably never carry anything more than 3-400 lbs though.

The pic Xpnsyd posted above is like the one on eBay right now!

But I'd rather have one like 25Horseplay has.
It has a receiver and mounts to the vehicle in a more robust manner!
Brain, can you post a pic!
      Believe his was from U-haul.
Haven't got up off my lazy as...... and made a call to see if they are still available!

btw, the d'lans are rated above 750lbs and I've had a friend pull 2 Harleys on a trailer from Houston to Seattle with this hitch on a Festy.. They're pretty sturdy.

I will have to snap a picture. The hitch I have mounts to the factory tie downs and under the spare tire well. It has 6 bolts and a class 2 reciever. I towed a Sea Doo with it no problems!

there is a reciever style hitch on the car i just bought. looks like it mounts to the spare tire well and to the rear bumper support. i'll get pics up tomorrow. i'd be glad to get rid of it for the price of shipping. can't be more than 2 yrs. old.

                thanks for the pic. xpnsyd.
the hitch i have looks just like that, but without the curve...so i gues it's not just like that....but close enough that i think it will work.

i would imagine that some bumper cover triming is necasary...i just hope it disent look crapy wen i am done..

                later,

Id be careful about mounting a hitch on a festiva rear bumper beam. The beams tend to rust out. I would prefer the one the mounts to the factory tie downs.
