courious question did they make a LX in 93

look at a black 93 festiva today( 400 bucks,no rust no dings ) it had the blue/gray interior, with split rear seat, rear wipe, those rare power mirrors on it. but it said LX on it. i thought in 93 the only models availble where L and GL not L X. :?

Could be someone replaced the original hatch with an older LX unit. Could be someone obtained old stickers to apply to their car.

How do you know what year it is? Did you get it from the doorjamb plate, or just saw it chalked on the car?

Think how someone would interpret some of our cars taken to the 'yard! All kinds of "weird factory options" and stuff!

The LX was replaced with the GL in 91.

most likely they have the year wrong.. sounds like a 90 LX. either that or it's a 93 GL with 90 LX goodies installed.

yea, cause the split rear seat and pwr mirrors only came on the 88-90

I have power mirrors on both my 91 L and my 93 L... of course, its not factory (or even festiva for that matter) :lol:

i think canadian models were L or LX up to the last year. not sure if they even had a GL model. maybe this car was brought down here. any evidence of DRL?

I've got a 92 GL, but on the registration it's listed as an LX. And...this is interesting...the colour is officially called "Canada Red."

door sticker says 08 92 and on reg.it is listed as a 93. as far as i can tell paint is all oringal and the festiva LX decal was all faded .going back friday to start car as battery was dead on monday . will take a closer look at it if it runs o.k. will buy it because its BLACK
