completly my fault, i was rushing to get my car on the road so i could go back to school and at the same time packing, and cleaning up the garage... I put my front driver side wheel on with a 3/8" drive tightened it pretty good but because my hubcentric ring is the wrong size it didnt mount up properly. I forgot to torque the wheel down.... About a 1/2 mile down the road my car starts to wobble (not horribly) so i turn around and head home and i was going about 30 and it started wobbling really bad so i go to pull over, the wheel comes off, the rotor lands on the rim of the wheel and i slide into a gaurd rail... I get my jack out, put my wheel (which is fubared... BTW i picked up the shavings from the wheel on the ground) back on, TORQUED IT, started to drive home and my car bounces up and down now (bent wheel or bend hub)... pull into my garage and look at the damage... both front wheels look horrible (other wheel hit the guard rail) bumper got a little scratch on it, and my already distroid fender is now more distroid... unpacked and got a ride to the train station...
Not a happy camper...
Tip for others... dont forget to torque your wheels down... and dont rush putting your car back together...
