  • Remembering Dj

I thought I would start a post so we can put up storys about Dj. tell us how he helped you, or a fuuny time with or about him!

I remember one night sitting here and the phone rings, it is another member of the forum. Its John (PU241) on the caller ID. I pick it up and say "hey whats up" and the voice on he other end was "hey man what you doing". I was confused at first, but it was Dj calling on Johns phone trying to confuse me. And it worked, we all had a laugh! I will miss phone calls with Dj, sometimes till 2 in the morning! We talked about everything you could think of sometimes!
Rest in peace my friend............I will miss you!

I know DJ , this site, and its members started me down the road to festiva addiction. Ive been watching the # of members here at FF.Com. this week, looks like there will be 3000 members very soon . I think that's a testament ! Yet the site seems a lot smaller this week. Rest in peace DJ, your dream lives on.

I have some posted in the R.I.P. thread also .

But I will never forget DJ. calling me up laughing his head off , he said he invited a bunch of friends over to watch the video of me shooting up some mud flaps , he said man you are crazy .
      That was so funny .

I also was locked out here once as a Admin . I did not know what was wrong, I could not log on , so I called DJ. I tell him I am locked out of the forum .. He says it was probably Brian of Matt playing a joke on you , we could not stop laughing , he fixed it for me

When my computer crashed , he offered to let me ship it to his house to repair it , He also sent me many songs and comp programs on disk .

I won't forget DJ calling me up , he is somewhere downtown , he was getting all over Techno , it was SO LOUD , I could hear it setting off every car alarm he went past , that was too funny .

Thanks for all the late night conversations .
      Rest in peace DJ.

Yep, I remember that one too! When he called me about it and told me you were locked out. I checked on it and sure enough it was me that banned you by mistake.....................again he laughed about it!

I was supposed to meet DJ in Galveston last Jan. But my ex-girlfriend had different plans. After scrambling to call friends to logon for me and tell him by PM it was about the time we were supposed to meet. Later He called me and told me of the day he and his wife had going out to the Gulf and we talked for about 45 minutes on how someone quit the Yahoo! group.

DJ's Techno is STILL the best looking Festiva in my opnion. He just wouldn't quit working on it. Mostly I looked up to DJ because of the way he acted on here. Not taking sides but not letting any smack talking go on either.

I never really knew the guy all that well, except for the occasional email. Those emails, however, contained some of the best technical data in existence, and were always friendly. The guy never seemed to get annoyed even at the most inane questions that he'd been asked a million times. How cool is that?!?

Dammit, am I the only one who is still having a hard time getting on this site. To me, this site was so much about what DJ was about. No matter how long FF.COM lives on, it will never be the same.

Ditto. I can say this from experience cause I emailed him a question, which he answered, then I fooled around and accidentally erased his response, so had to ask the same question again. ops: And he just answered like he had not just answered this fool question yesterday. Great guy, so sorry for his family.
