  • Dirtiest Festiva

I just got back from a productive afternoon at the junkyard, and the Festiva I was pulling parts off has to be the filthiest I've ever seen.

The engine bay was caked with oil. Not just a little, but everything was covered in it - even the catalytic converter! There was about a 1/4 inch of oil on everything, according to what I scraped off. Even the inside of the carburettor was black and oily!

Inside there was tons of trash, cigarette butts, and everything had a yellowish tinge to it from tobacco smoke. It also stank to high heaven and there were strange stains on the upholstery.

The outside wasn't too bad, though.

What's amazing is this car had 318,000 miles on it and ran until last week when the owner hit a deer!

I worked at sears in the auto center and hated it cause I had to deal with at least 1 these type cars a day. I put the seat protectors on for my own safety

My dad owned a detail shop for a while.
About half of the cars were repos.
I have seen my share of dirty and junked up cars because the former owner would go through and get what the needed and leave the rest.

This one time a lady brought in a NICE Lincoln Town Car. She pulled up and asked if we cleaned cars. We thought she was one of those neat freak rich people that run through a puddle and have to clean their cars. Well we said "of course" and she said only the backseat needs cleaned and we asked why and she said her grand son sits back there. We opened the door and found out that he must not have liked Cheetos because they were every where and stomped in the floor boards. We found one that he had slobbered on and threw it down and it landed straight up and down and fused to the leather that way.

Take it back to the back porch, join the 3 string revolution.
