Is all it took for Autozone to send me a email saying I wasn't considered for the position after the interview. Interview ended at 4:30 and got the email at 4:48 and I wasn't home yet. I guess I shouldn't of answered when they told me to name the parts of engine if your looking down :laughing5: I'm starting to remember why I don't shop there.

You want a job? Come up to Calgary here. The economy is totally off the hook right now. Everywhere you go there are signs up for jobs. Hell, line cooks are starting at $17 an hour right now. Parts guys (junior, in training) can ask for and get $36K a year.

The flipside is that housing prices have about tripled over the past few years, and service in every business, especially restaurants, sucks ass, because they have to hire whoever they can.

i worked for autozone it sucked! i was probably one of the smartest there as far as automotive knowledge and at the time i didnt have much. the pay sucked. only benfits where what ever you can fit in your pockets dicsount. lots of customers come in and they dont know what they want they look at you like your a mechanic or service writer and suppose to diagnose the whinning noise in there car. you could do lots of side jobs though but one friend got burned by it. its a good enty level job into the industry you do learn your parts but best bet is try to get into a dealership i tried but no one was ever hirring when i needed a job. good luck

                That sucks...

I never shop there either. I prefer Schuck's. The prices are good, and the sales staff knows their stuff.

I consider it a blessing in disquise.. it was only going to be parttime anyways. I'm going to try at O'Reillys and AA next week. Hoping to get the debt snowball rolling quickly guess not.
