That's crazy!! Just think of all the great charities that could use that kind of money! I LOVE cars, but they're just cars.1986 Comp Prep SVO Mustang(1 of 83) Four cylinder turbo! (Think first Fox body "R" model!)
1995 F-150 Extra Cab and it was free!
1991 Festiva L, Surf Blue with A/C
1995 Jeep Cherokee 2wd 5 speed 4.0 and it was free!
1993 Aqua Festiva and it was cheap!
1994 Brake Swap and it was cheap!
1969 Ford F100 Big Block Ranger and it was free! (coming 2/12)

maybe someone in love with john schneider  an easy 10 mil for him. luck i think they call it, certainly not his acting ability.
i agree if the money was all going to st jude's or something like that, id say great. but to finance his movie, gag me with a spoon. gotta wonder about the buyer.
how many of those cars did they have? several at least i heard."We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals." -Mohandas Gandhi

There were over 300 General Lees built. They even created a shortage of '69 Chargers, so they modified 68's to look like them. There were at least a dozen "close up" cars. This one wasn't even original to the series (built in '97) although it did appear in a made for TV movie.
It's a heavily modified clone car. I hope whoever bid that high was bidding for the purpose of charity and not for the value of the vehicle.
Now, the real question is "Why do I know this stuff? Does this make me a complete, died in the wool, car nerd?"

My Nephew lives down there in GA. where they have all the get togethers , They just had one , or are getting ready for one .
Before my Nephew moved there , he still lived here in Decatur , He had a General Lee , and sold it to a guy in Holland .
People go nuts over these cars .
One thing about Bo's car , was it had a hemi in it , the regular General Lees did not .------------------------------------------------
