Aspire vs Festiva 5 speed transmision

I went to the junk yard yesterday and pulled an Aspire 5 speed. I always thought they (Aspire & Festiva 5 speeds) were exactly the same except for the final drive gear ratio. When I got the Aspire home, I compared it to the Festiva, and the bell housing bolt pattern for the front motor mount is totally different. The Aspire has 5 drilled and tapped holes and uses 4 to mount the transmission mount. The Festiva has a total of only 3 holes in a totally different patten. Did I get some "odd ball" transmission or do all the Aspire transmissions have this different bolt pattern?

i wonder if the auto in the aspires would work on the festy's because weren't they 5spd(AT)?

NO that front mount has been mentioned before, you should be able to just flip the one mount over and use it, I can't remember which one. Doesn't take much though.
