You guys remember the car I bought a couple of months ago?
Well its just been sitting because no one will let me part it out. The guy told me it didn't run. Well today I had a little free time so I stuck a new battery in it and it started up. Slapped it in drive which was cool because Ive never driven an auto festiva. It takes right off and I'm cruising. I try the a/c it blows nice cold air. Try everything else. Everything works. A little popping in the front on tight right hand turns.( half shaft) Got about five miles out and the tranny shifts fine. I noticed it getting a little hot around the five mile mark so I headed back home. The fan was running when I got it back but no overflow into the reservoir? Could be a blow head gasket or warped head but still I was shocked it ran at all from what I was told. At least its mobile and I can move it around to keep the grass from dieing under the car and mow around it, and also pull it in the garage to work on it, Tried to change out a rotor in the dist cap( it looked real bad) but I guess the one on 88-89 are a different size, A size I didn't have. Anyway now I don't know what to do with it. I don't want to part a complete unit but also don't want to invest the $ to get it going.
