Loose mirror glass

I had a loose mirror glass on my LX power mirrors , I figured it was just worn a little on the guts .
I proceed to take it apart , little screw on the bottom , to remove the motor assy.

The screw was already loose ?? so I tightened it up , It was that easy , No more play in the glass .

Here I thought I had a real issue , drove all the way to PA. (Ohiostiva) with a vibrating mirror glass :lol: :lol: and could see nothing in it .

I seen several like this at Morraine park .

Just thought it would help others , with the same issue

I had the problem with my 'swoopy' mirrors in the past. It was the things that held it to the motor part and I had to "glue" them together....

I noticed it on my set that I grabbed off the 90 LX I picked up a few weeks ago and I need to fix them too... Just been trying to get the car up and running first.

Always carry super glue in the car ,I do.. :geek:

I had a problem once, I heard a noise and thought it was a tire picking up a rock and hitting the bottom of the car...So I kept driving and when trying to switch lane's, I noticed there was no mirror on the driver side..Lucky me I had some extra mirrors.
The problem with mine is it never vibrated or anything to let me know it was coming.

My passenger side mirror got ban barded at a stop sign by someone mowing beside me the rock hit my window first then bounced into my mirror a big chunk of glass broke off I was so :violent1: I pull over got out and said WTF he stopped the mower ran up to my car and appoligize and wrote me a check for$250. He said if I needed anymore call or come bye untill my car was fixed
