  • 1.3L or 1.5L Late 1990's Festiva/Aspire

Well here in Australia we call them Festivas and they come with either a 1.3L or a 1.5L. I'm curious if someone can tell me how to tell which one I've got?

Or alternatively just post an engine bay picture of a 1.3L so I can compare it to my engine bay (I tried to google for one).

    Thanks!

The Australian B5 and B3 are very similar visually. I would check the rego papers, and look for 'engine size'. It should say either 1298cc, or 1498 (or so)cc.
It is also common that the B5 was only fitted to 95-00 festiva's badged trio 's' (3dr), or glxi (5dr).

Sorry to the first two posters, it's a 1996 Festiva.

Thanks Mick, it's a five door but not a GLXI so it's probably only a 1.3L.

Any suggestions for getting more power out of a service? It badly needs one and I'll probably do it this weekend.

Just stick with the big ones- Fuel, oil and air filters, plugs, and tune.
Then from there- open up the exhaust, and add an aftermarket air filter. That should squeeze a bit more for you.
