  • 1991 mazda air conditioning

my 1991 mazda airconditioning keeps blowing fuses in the fuse panel under the hood. i remembered the condenser fan made a funny noise about two years ago and maybe quit working. could this be the cause of the blown fuse? is the condenser fan on the same wire ect as the compressor? the compressor does not even kick on eventhough i have changed switch and relays and freon is in the system.

    thanks in advance

The fan sure sounds like the place to start looking. If it's shorted out internally that would certainly blow a fuse.

thanks dave. i went to junkyard and got switch and relays so i would not be wasting money on new parts that maynot be a problem. these cars are almost as hard to find in junkyards as a festiva. only 3 found in st.louis at 4 junkyards.
