  • Bought a Honda today

for my daughter. Picked up a nice 91 civic SI with an Integra motor swap in it. 130HP. Runs real nice, handles nice and only a little bit of the Honda rust in the rear. Nice clean car with a near perfect interior.

Wow that is a sweet little honda, I love that year and style, even though honda's get a bad name, she could have quite the sleeper with that engine swap, plus a turbo setup.

I had 91 SI in black. I didn't have the motor swap and that thing would straight fly. I imagine that one is pretty fun. Make sure she is careful. Nice score.

nice score bud, how old is your daughter? insurance can be killer with a honda even if its a girl.

so lets get that motor out of there and swap in a k20 and turbo it, new rods and high compression pistons, apr head studs, machined crank, 300 shot of NAWS, dog box transmission, 4 puck clutch, roll cage, single seat with only a Tach.... now THATS a DD for a teenage girl

Every car I have owned has had a turbo in it, until I bought this latest festiva.. I plan to fix that though.

Yeah, if you build your engine the right way, you will make more power with boost out of high compression (well 10.1 in that range) not like 15.1 or some thing.

I'll revive this thread. This is the Honda I'm driving now, the reason Willie now has a red Sport. It was my daughters but the ex said it wasn't a car for a teenager. So now she's driving a Alero and has a car payment.

So far I've been driving it a few weeks and I do like it. It's lowered with some coilovers and handles nice. The B18A1 with the quick trans gearing makes it fun to drive. Don't worry I'm still a Festiva guy.

Hey its at least a hatchback, we can't hate you for that :-) They are nice cars, even if the rice community had ruined their name.
