Well i took the b8-me festiva for the first big drive

move the car to moreno valley where i got my new apt, drove the car back last night at 3am. i was riding dirty with expired tags...oops. great powerband i think, still a little slow for me in 4-5 gears. Cranked her up to 130mph passing a 325i and a pontiac ws6 like they were standing still at 70....

I'm getting tags this friday and hopefully going to the 1/8 mile track in perris to get some times. Glad i live 3 miles from the dragstrip now, YES!

What are the specs of a B8-ME?

The B8 is not just a bored and stroked B6. Rather, a new block with widened cylinder spacing is used. The bore was 83 mm and the stroke was 85 mm. This SOHC engine was used in various Australian Mazda 323s and the American 1990-1994 Mazda Protege. It came in both 8 (B8-E) and 16-valve variants (B8-ME).
