  • So where's Skeeter been??

    Hey all!!

Dino if any1's noticed but i havn't been on the forums much lately... my main PC fried and has been that way for more than a month!!! (thought it was a PSU, 3 PSU's later found out it was the mobo..) Thats where all my pics and stuff are so i havn't been able to do any more skeeter updates in a while, with a new mobo on the way soon i hope to have that PC back up so that i can get back to my normal several hours each night wasted (did i say that  ) on here!

Any way, thought i'd let ya'll know what i've been up to this summer... mostly just work. I've been working @ Jiffy Lube since i got out of school, its a fun job if a lil taxing at times! I also went on a 1 week camp/missions work kinda thing last week, and i'm also taking a class through DLP (Distance Learning Program) over the summer, so i've been keeping busy! As a resut i havn't done too much to my car. Basically when i get a chance i've been doing lil stuff on the B6, i finished my lil PnP job, painted and baked the VC and headder, and just today finished cleaning/lapping/re-installing the valves. The engine should be going in sometime towards the end of August b/c i will be able to use my parents car for a week then.

Also (and keep quite about this! your the first ppl i'm telling!) I may be picking up another festy tomorow night parts car, but i has a title and the dude said i can drive it home, just reverse doesn't work. He said its an '87, i'm guessing its an 88 that was mfd in 87. we'll see.. i have no idea. Oh, and its free, but i'm probobly going to paint the guys 250Z for him (or at least help him do it). I have had SO many people give me compliments on my car, and/or ask me to paint one for them since i've been working @ JLube... also a bunch of people offering me $$ for it (i could've traded it straight up for the 250Z) but i always just say no way... i couldn't let skeeter go!!

In other news, skeeters rad cracked again and the engine keeps running worse and worse... glad my B6 is getting done! but the lil B3 just keeps chugging (while spitting oil into the intake) so i think i've got plenty of time left.

i hope in a few days to FINALY have a real update thread w/ pics of everything i've done since the last one... its going to be quite a read

well i've been missing my festiva family here... hope everyone is doing great!!! give your festiva some love!! Wish i could be @ FF 07.... take lotsa good pics for me!!

My first Festiva was an aqua L, so aqua L's will always have a place in my heart. Glad to see you back. Where do you usually work at Jiffy Lube? I spent a summer as a courtesy/lower bay tech.

Yessir good to hear from you Nate. Glad you've been busy and productive. Like Batstiva said he, Rick Festiva (one eyepizzaguy here), and I were talking about yesterday. Glad you are back on here too. Good luck on the swap.

well i (like almost everyone) started out as CT and now i do CT/Hood tech depending on who else is working. I'd like to do some pit tech sometime, but i wouldn't mind if they waited till its a bit cooler out first lol... + i'm really short and we have a fairly deep pit compared to some places so it might not work out too well!

any way its good to hear from ya'll, glad you've been talking mostly good stuff about me

also, all the valves and the cam are back in the B6 head... trying to decide what to do about a few sticky HLA's and the heads going back on the block! woot!
