1.3l engine swap

I have a 1993 Festiva w/ac and an auto trans. The motor is junk and I cannot seem to find one for this car. I was sure that a 1.3l out of an Aspire would work with some changing things around, but I was informed that it would not. Does anyone know for sure what will work in my 93 before I waste money on something that will not. I really would like to get this Festy back on the road and I have a line on a 1.3l out of a 96 Aspire. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes it will, at least to 1995 Aspire engine to a 1990 FI festiva, that's what I did with mine. You will have to swap everything down to the block.

Intake
Exhaust manifold
distributor
water inlets and outlets
Lastly, you will have to use the pulley setup, and alternator from the aspire - the nose on the crankshaft was changed and the pulley on the end of the crank can't be swapped. I kind of like the idea of using a serpentine belt anyway.
