Located in the great city of Little Rock! Glad to see another fellow Arkansan! I may require assistance with putting an engine in or doing a swap... I haven't yet decided but I am leaning on the cheap easy way out as mentioned in the above post... Im just not comfortable swapping in a larger motor and rewiring the car. Its not that I'm incapable of doing it, but that I just dont want to spend that much time or effort or money trying to figure everything out. I am sure it is a fairly easy swap, I have just never done anything like that before and am not sure I want to try to tackle that type of project on such a tight budget and tight time frame (1 day) I only have Sunday off so Saturday night will be spent pulling the old engine and cleaning and painting and Sunday will be spent doing the rest.

are you sure you spun a bearing?, your oil light should have come on when the bearing spun because you'll loose all your oil pressure, sometimes if the head of the engine has gotten hot to many times, the thermostat (if aftermarket) will default open causing the cool running and when the head warps, the lifters will start ticking intermetiatly, I've had this that problem before, but as for the rich condition, I'd say either injectors, regulator, or computer
