You need your cat. Never heard of a dual exhaust header for a festiva.

It helps with the back pressure in the B3...which it needs to run properly. As soon as I opened up my exhaust to full 2 inch without anything other then a cherrybomb on it...I lost low end power and passing ability. I thought it was just my imagination....then I had some stuff happen (long story) that restricted my exhaust....the low end power was back...I need to fix the problem, but I will be putting the cat back on. Unless the engine is built up...the stock B3 needs the back pressure to run properly.

^^ I can vouch for that , I lost a lot of torque when I went 2.25 in exhaust and no cat .

hmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe it's my set-up with my B6, but I have no cat, and 2.25" exhaust to a 60 series Flowmaster import muffler, and it seems that if I had any MORE torque, I would have no traction whatsoever... but maybe I ought to try sticking a cat on there..

I thought it had more to do with exhaust velocity than back-pressure though...
