B6: 88 intake manifold on an 87 head?

    B6: 88 intake manifold on an 87 head?

    Anyone know of any problems using an 88 intake manifold on an 87 head? The coolant passages (heater core to manifold, and coolant temp. sensor) are in the same places, but reversed in position.

    I can't foresee a problem, but maybe one of you can?

    Mine is an '88 manifold on an '86 head and it's working really well. Can't see there being much difference between the '86 & '87.

      Yeah, I didn't figure there was much difference, but you can never be too sure.
